You mentioned you can bake the tofu and was wondering if you think it would work in an air fryer as I just got a small one. I try not to eat fried food. Plus it may be an easier and faster method. I’m not sure if the air fryer would be better than baking it (haven’t tried baking it yet).

I made this for dinner, and it definitely took a little longer…probably becasue I doubled the portion sizes and had to fry so much tofu. It was absolutely worth the while!!!! As a German, I’m not too familiar with the dish in general – only had it once in NYC with shrimp, however this recipe showed me that there’s absolutely no need for the cruelty in my food 😀 Thank you so much!
