I’m heading back to my hometown in a few days to visit family for Christmas. I can’t wait! I mean, is there anything better than visiting Grandma on Christmas? In honor of the season, I’m sharing with you a vegan Italian Pignoli Cookies recipe that I adapted from my Grandma’s traditional recipe.
(more…)Vegan Chicken-style Seitan Parmesan. Before going vegan, we’d never heard of seitan before. Actually, it’s fairly often that people are like ?!?!?!? when they see either of us eating seitan or hear us talking about it.
Vegan Sage Brown Butter Sauce. I’m obsessed. This sauce is GODLY. This sauce is so freaking good, I literally said to Matt while eating it, “I can drink this sauce.” Like, pour into your fanciest crystal wine glass and slurp it down.
Unfortunately, we aren’t allowed to have any crystal glassware because I would shatter them just by breathing. Once, I broke two wine glasses in under a second. Yep.
I spun around and accidentally hit one wine glass which flew off the counter only to hit another wine glass, shattering them both. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.
VEGAN SWEET POTATO GNOCCHI.
These Vegan Sweet Potato Gnocchi are a great twist to your regular Potato Gnocchi. Did you know that sweet potatoes are healthier for you than white potatoes are.
Actually, most vegetables that are darker in color are healthier than the lighter versions because they have more antioxidants – think red onions vs. white onions, red bell peppers vs. green bell peppers, dark leafy greens vs. iceberg lettuce. Isn’t that so freaking interesting!?
This post is allllll about this Vegan Butternut Squash Ravioli. But first, lets talk Thanksgiving.
This week has been craaazy. Both Matt and I have been super busy at work and totally pooped by the time we get home. Thanksgiving is next week and we’re so so so so so so sooooo ready for the 4-day weekend ahead of us.
This year, we’re ordering a feast from our favorite vegan food truck WongWay Veg. I’m so excited!!! I know it’s going to be delicious. We love everything they make.
What are your Thanksgiving plans? Cooking, ordering, visiting family, skipping it entirely? Spill it sista, give me the deets.
(more…)There’s something about lavender that’s so trendy right now. I’ve been seeing lavender everywhere. Have you ever had a lavender latte before? The first time I had a lavender latte was maybe a year ago. I thought it would be totally weird, lavender and coffee? ehhhhh.. I dunnooo… but I was HOOKED after the first sip. Now anytime I go into a coffee shop and they have lavender on the menu, you know I’m getting a pump or two. If you haven’t yet tried a lavender latte, do it! You’re welcome.
